Guar seed futures ease on low demand

New Delhi: Guar seed prices on Monday fell by Rs 110 to Rs 4,310 per 10 quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their holdings in line with a weak market trend.

Marketmen attributed the downward trend in guar seed futures to weak demand at spot market amid increasing supplies from growing regions.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for November delivery fell by Rs 110, or 2.49 per cent, to Rs 4,310 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 13,560 lots.

Similarly, the contracts for December delivery shed Rs 108.65, or 2.46 per cent, to Rs 4,296 per 10 quintal with an open interest of 83,380 lots.
