Dr Negi appointed as chairman of USEAA

New Delhi: Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt of India has appointed Dr Sharad Singh Negi as Chairman of Uttarakhand State Environment Assessment Authority for 3 years. The authority is empowered to grant environmental clearances in the state for category B projects.

The term of the earlier authority had lapsed in 2015. Dr Negi, is former Director General Forest and Special Secretary to Govt of India , ex-Director FRI Dehradun, Director Environment HP Govt and Member Secretary HP Pollution Control Board.
