Blue Star targets Rs 1,700 crore FY19 revenue from AC segment

New Delhi: Blue Star is one of India's leading air conditioning and commercial refrigeration company, with an annual revenue of over Rs 4400 crores launches 100 new models of Air conditioners including 40 highly energy efficient inverter split air conditioners by concentrating NCR market.
It has set a target of Rs 1,700 crore revenue from room AC segment as well as higher market share in the current fiscal.
''This range promises up to 30 per cent Extra Cooling Power resulting in powerful cooling, faster temperature pull-down, and extra energy savings; extra comfort with precise temperature setting in steps of 0.1°C and 0.5°C; extra quiet performance with a 'soundproof' acoustic jacket for the compressor; and Extra Purification technology for healthier air," said Joint Managing Director, B Thiagarajan.
The Company's mainstay of product development and R&D has been energy efficiency, coupled with eco-friendly and sustainable products.
India AC's cooling refrigerant market is growing at a rapid pace and so on in 2017, it reaches up to 10 per cent of total value term.
Blue star grew by around 15 per cent in 2017 and reached at the market share of 11.5 per cent and is expected to grow up to 15 to 20 per cent in 2018.
It has manufacturing facilities at Dadra, Himachal, Wada, and Ahmedabad, which use modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to ensure that the products have consistent quality and reliability. The Company has a manufacturing footprint of about 1 lakh sqm, producing over 300 models across 25 product lines.
Blue star as the most promising brand, delivering products which are superior and most advanced with new technologies has ventured into their own AC mobile smart App which gives the customer to regulate and control optimise settings as well as integrate this app with home automation systems.
