AAI to develop plan for Sri Lanka's Palaly Airport

New Delhi: In a move to secure overseas projects in the field of airport development and management, Airport Authority of India (AAI) has signed an agreement with Ministry of External Affairs for the preparation of a Detailed Project Report for development of Palaly Airport in Sri Lanka.

The agreement was recently signed by Anil Gupta, Executive Director (Land Management & Business Development), AAI and Sanjay Panda, Joint Secretary, Indian Ocean Region, India's Ministry of External Affairs.

Speaking on the occasion, Anil Gupta envisaged AAI's vision for going global considering AAI's expertise and capabilities in airport development and operation management.

He also informed that over of period of time, AAI has developed more than 60 airports in Metro and Non Metro cities in India and now AAI wants to leverage its expertise to other countries on a bigger scale.
