AAI, DRDO, Jharkhand ink MoU to develop Deoghar Airport

Airports Authority of India (AAI), Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Jharkhand government signed a tripartite MoU for the development of Deoghar Airport in Deoghar district of Jharkhand.

The existing Deoghar Airport will be developed for operations of A-320 and C-130 aircraft.

Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha, Minister of Transport, Govt of Jharkhand CP Singh, MP Ram Tahal Chaudhaury and MP Nishikant Dubey were present on the occasion.

Dr Guru Prasad Mahapatra, IAS, Chairman AAI, Rajbala Verma, Chief Secretary, and Amit Khare, Development Commissioner, Jharkhand govt, Sudhir Raheja, Member Planning AAI, Sanjay Jain, RED (ER), AAI, H S Chaudhry, Additional Director of DRDO, Anil Vikram, Airport Director, Ranchi, and senior officials of State Govt and AAI were also present on the occasion.
