Bus owner crushed to death

An owner of a bus was crushed to death after a speeding car hit him from behind while he was cleaning the bus in South-east Delhi’s Jamia Nagar on Thursday. The errant driver who was reportedly a woman, fled from the spot. The accident took place at around 4.20 pm in Jamia Nagar’s Noor Nagar when a speeding SX4 car hit the driver from behind who was cleaning the bus. 

He was crushed to death at the spot, eyewitnesses told police when the teams reached the spot. According to sources in the department, it was learnt that a female was driving the car as per the eyewitnesses. However, it is yet to be ascertained. 

The unidentified driver managed to escape from the spot, leaving behind the car in a damaged condition at the spot. With the help of the registration number of the car, police are trying to establish the identity of the owner and who was driving at the time of the accident. Meanwhile, the deceased has been identified as Ajijuddin, a resident of Noor Nagar. A case under the relevant sections have been registered at Jamia Nagar police station.
