Bus found in R K Puram

Delhi police sources have said the bus in which the girl was gang-raped was parked in R K Puram, Sector 3 area, in south Delhi throughout the night and the cops seized it from there. The bus used to ferry students from a Noida school.

'The culprits are residents of slums in R K Puram area and are on the run. Earlier, it was said that the driver of the bus is not involved in the incident, as the bus was taken out by one of the cleaners on the pretext of servicing,' the sources said, adding, 'The accused were misleading the police by saying that the cleaner took it out. All the accused were drunk at the time of the incident.'

Meanwhile, Ram Singh, the driver of the bus was arrested, late on Monday evening. Sources said some hair of the victim have been found from the bus.  Police officials said a few of the culprits are believed to residents of Rajasthan and they stay in R K Puram shanties. ‘We have sent out several teams to nab the culprits and they will be arrested soon,' the officials stated.

The owner and driver of the bus are also being questioned by the cops who are co-operating with the police.
