Burglary at house in model town, owner alleges loot worth Rs 33 lakh

A house in north-west Delhi’s Model town was found burgled, when the occupants returned after attending a marriage on Wednesday evening. The robbers looted jewellery worth Rs 30 lakh and Rs 3 lakh in cash, alleged the occupants.
According to police, the burglary was reported from ground floor of house number B 198 at Gujrawala town in Model Town area of northwest Delhi.
Vijay Goel (33), the owner of the house told police the entire family had gone for a marriage at Saharanpur on December 1. “He suspect the involvement of some known person. However, it is difficult to establish the identity of the accused since there were no CCTV cameras”, said a police officer. A case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered.
