Bullets found in cop’s wife’s baggage at IGIA

A Delhi Police official and his wife travelling to Srinagar were on Saturday briefly held at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) for allegedly carrying two live bullets in their baggage.

The airport police registered a case in this regard and has let off the couple after it was found the act was inadvertent.

“Constable Jagbir Singh who is posted at IP police station was intercepted by airport security after two live cartridges were recovered from his wife’s <g data-gr-id="12">hand bag</g>. He has explained that the act was inadvertent and he will be producing his weapon license to us,” DCP (IGIA) D K Gupta said. Officials said the bullets were recovered by CISF personnel during the scanning of the hand baggage.
