Bullet-riddled body of youth found

Mystery shrouds the death of a youth whose bullet riddled body was found at Kulik forest more area in Raiganj late Tuesday night. The police are yet to ascertain the identity of the victim. Police have recovered a gun from near the body. According to the preliminary investigation police suspect that the miscreants might have shot at his forehead from a close quarter. Police found the body was lying on the pool of blood on the roadside. 

The body has been sent for the post-mortem examination. Police were also investigating if the gun that was found at the spot had been used by the miscreants. They are yet to ascertain the cause of the murder. Some local people heard a loud thud late Tuesday night and reached the spot to find the youth was lying on the road. They informed the police who later reached the spot and started an investigation.
