Builders flouting green norms to be fined

The builders polluting environment at their construction sites in the city will be fined Rs 50,000 per violation. The Delhi government, with a view to control smog in the winter session, has directed all its Sub Division Magistrates (SDMs) and Executive Magistrates (Tehsildars) to conduct surprise inspections on real estate construction sites for strict enforcement of environment guidelines of the Supreme Court.
