BTVi, Reuters join hands to offer global business news

Reliance Group-owned Business Broadcast News, which operates English business news channel BTVi, has tied up with news agency Reuters to offer global financial and business news in the country.

The partnership will offer Indian viewers coverage of global business and political news, BTVi said in a statement on Wednesday.

Under the partnership, BTVi, formerly known as Bloomberg TV India, will have access to Reuters TV studios in key financial centres across the globe.“BTVi will leverage our global strength to bring global and financial news to their ever growing audience on a daily basis from our studios around the world and support their coverage of key global events,” Reuters Senior VP for Sales and Content Solutions Munira Ibrahim said.

“We hope to build on this partnership in the future as we believe there is an unparalleled opportunity in India to create dynamic and engaging content that will appeal to the countries affluent and internationally-minded population,” Ibrahim added.

Monica Tata said, “Our country is one of the fastest growing economies in the world with large and growing business audience. And together with Reuters, we are confident of strengthening our leadership position further by delivering more value to our increasingly sophisticated business audience through great business news content on a real time basis.”
