BSNL cable lines stolen

Since the past one month, BSNL cable lines have been stolen from three different regions of Salt Lake which led to disrupted services. BSNL has reported the matter to the police. According to the <g data-gr-id="18">police</g> these thieveries are done just to malign the image of the company. 

In July, a lot of complaints were lodged for some land phone connection problems. On investigating it was found out that the thieves had snipped off a lot of wires near the CGO complex.

The second incident happened on the same month, this time near City Centre. The third incident took place near FD Block where due to the thefts landline connections of at least ten blocks got disrupted.

Police have started investigating in the area. According to a BSNL official at least 135 metres of cable wires worth Rs 2 lakh have been stolen.
