Brothers trailer receives over a million views

The response to the trailer of Brothers, which has received over a million YouTube views within a day of its release, has left filmmaker Karan Johar feeling overwhelmed.

The 43-year-old filmmaker took to <g data-gr-id="21">micro-blogging</g> website to thank people for viewing the trailer, which shows the “deadlier” side of Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra as brothers.

“Super fast 1 million views! Thank you for all the love.....@karanmalhotra21 ‘s labour of love @akshaykumar @S1dharthM,” Karan tweeted on Wednesday.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff, is an official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood film Warriors. Brothers <g data-gr-id="23">is</g> slated to release on August 14.
Reminds you of Dharamendra-Sunny Deol-Bobby Deol-<g data-gr-id="24">starrer</g> Apne? That film had <g data-gr-id="25">Dharamendra</g> as a driven coach who trained his sons to win an all-important boxing match. 

While Akshay and Sidharth play the brothers, Jackie steps into the shoes of Nolte, who played the father in the original movie. Kareena Kapoor will also be seen in a guest appearance in the film. What happens when hate turns blood against blood and the two brothers meet in the boxing ring to win the ultimate title. The film is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and is set to hit theatres on August 14, 2015.
