The sculpture by Bawa would be displayed at the collateral exhibition Kochi - Muniris - Biennale. One sculpture from the same series would be displayed at Arushi Arts Gallery, The Gallery on the MG, in the Capital.
Artistes all around the world have portrayed the physical and psychological trauma undergone by women so as to make awareness among the society. But the suffering of women still continues and the torture and atrocities have reached to the highest.
As a woman and as a painter, Bawa has seen and realised the inner pain of many women and have spent many sleepless nights. That pain forced her to translate the same into the sculpture. Her sculptures are inspired by the pain and agony of many women. The sculpture also depicts the pain and sorrow of women and other part show the male dominated society.
