Delhi Metro lost three lakh commuters a day after fare hike on October: RTI data

New Delhi: As per the reports revealed by Right to Information application, Delhi metro has lost three lakh commuters the day after it planned to set for yet another fare hike on October 10.

The fares were made even more expensive by between 20 to 50 percent.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal repeatedly argued against the proposed fare hike, but was overruled by the Centre with whom he shares more of sustained hostility.

Fare hike of Delhi metro was also witnessed in May this year, which is less than six months before the new hike on October 10.
