Body of missing girl found from Kurseong tea garden

Mystery shrouds the death of a girl student whose body was recovered from a tea garden in Kurseong. Some local residents spotted the body which was lying inside a tea garden. A large stone was found from the place leading the police to believe that the assailants had used the stone in the crime. Some portions of her body were disfigured as she was hit with heavy substance. 

Police said that the girl had remained missing for the last 32 days. The girl aged around 15 was taken to a hospital where she was declared brought dead. The incident had triggered tension in the area. According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the victim was murdered but they are yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder. Police are investigating if the victim’s family members had any rivalry with anybody which might have led to the incident. 

Police are also investigating if the girl was physically abused by those who abducted her. Police have already interrogated the victim’s family members in this connection to know if they had any extortion call from the abductors. In the preliminary investigation, police also suspected that some people might have abducted the victim with a demand of a ransom. 

The local people told the police that the family members of the victim had no rivalry with anybody in the neighbouring areas. Police are interrogating the employees of the tea garden who the police believe might give some clues to them. Police are investigating if the assailants had carried out the crime somewhere else and later dumped the body inside the tea garden.
