BJP to start four-day march to Singur today

The rally will start from sector V in Salt Lake on Tuesday and will end in Singur, State president Dilip Ghosh said. Kailash Vijayvargiya , all India secretary in charge of West Bengal  along with the former State president Rahul Sinha  will take part in the rally. Anurag Thakur is likely to take part in it too.

Ghosh said that the Trinamool Congress has not done anything to revive closed industries. The condition of the tea gardens and jute mills have turned from bad to worse and Mamata Banerjee did not do anything to revive them.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders have completed meetings with party workers who would mean the booths. There are over 77,000 booths in the state. Desperate attempts have been made to revive the Mahasampark Abhiyan.

During the primary membership drive, 43 lakh people became its members. It was decided that the leaders would meet each one of them and they would be recruited in the election. But the drive failed to take off.

Though state BJP leaders refused to admit that a large number of workers had not been taking part in the movements lodged by the party, the intra party fighting is palpable.

The party workers and leaders who were closed to Rahul Sinha  are staying away from the movements. The party is facing a major problem after Roopa  Ganguly and Locket Chatterhjee refused to contest in the election.
