BJP to amend constitution for Gadkari

The BJP has indicated that party president Nitin Gadkari is likely to get second term as its head. The BJP has initiated the process of amendment in its constitution to enable Gadkari to be the president for the second consecutive term.
As per its present constitution, a president gets only one term of three years. There is no provision for a second consecutive term.
In a meeting of its national office bearers on Friday in New Delhi, the party approved a proposal to amend its constitution at the national executive meet to be held later this month.
