BJP promises houses to slum dwellers

The BJP on Friday pledged to provide houses to the capital’s 40 lakh slum dwellers if it wins the Delhi assembly elections in November.
Accusing the Congress of betraying the slum dwellers, BJP Delhi unit chief Vijay Goel said ‘each and every slum dweller’ would be given a house in the event his party wins. The BJP will organise a rally for slum dwellers here on Sunday, he said. The BJP leader also promised electricity, water and cooking gas at affordable rates to the slum dwellers.
