BJP MP Roopa Ganguly suffers cerebral stroke, hospitalised

Roopa Ganguly, BJP Rajya Sabha MP has been admitted to a private nursing home in Salt Lake after she suffered a cerebral stroke.

A five-member medical board has been constituted. Senior BJP leaders visited the hospital and wished her a speedy recovery.

Ganguly complained of splitting headache since the morning and in the afternoon. She said she could not see anything.

The doctors examined her and found that she had been suffering from a cerebral stroke and advised hospitalisation.

Ganguly who was the BJP Mohila Morcha president recently became a Rajya Sabha member. She contested against Lakshmi Ratan Shukla of Trinamool Congress in 2016 Assembly election from North Howrah seat and lost.

After demonetisation was declared on November 8, she had been holding meeting in the districts supporting Narendra Modi’s move on demonetisation.
