BJP on Saturdaylaunched a 10-day statewide agitation seeking the ouster of chief minister Virbhadra Singh and a CBI probe into the allegations levelled in a 28-page ‘chargesheet’ submitted by the party to the governor on 25 December.
The party held rallies at Shimla and Hamirpur where the protests were led by, respectively, state BJP chief Satpal Singh Satti and former chief minister PK Dhumal.
Dhumal alleged that Congress had broken all records of corruption in the state but PM Manmohan Singh had no time to look into the charges against the Himachal CM.
