BJP hits back at Rahul for his jibe at Modi

"I understand the frustration of this Congress leader. They should come up with policies, they should talk about what they would like to do in Delhi," BJP leader and Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy said here.

He was responding to Gandhi's jibe at Modi that while the Prime Minister "failed" to deliver on his much-touted promise of bringing black money stashed abroad, he wore a "suit worth Rs 10 lakh" during US President Barack Obama's visit.

"He (Gandhi) can carry on with his campaign and work hard for the future," Rudy added.

"The Prime Minister is the Prime Minister of India and under his leadership we have the full majority today. People of this country will decide as to what they have to do with the Congress as they did not even give Mr Rahul Gandhi as many members so that they can come back even with the Leader of Opposition," Rudy said.

Addressing an election rally here, Gandhi said, "He (Modi) had said I will bring back crores of black money, will deposit Rs 15 lakh in every account. I want to ask you, did you get Rs 15 lakh? You didn't get anything but Modi wore a suit worth Rs 10 lakh during Obama's visit."

The pinstripe 'bandhgala suit' Modi wore on Sunday during his talks with Obama in Hyderabad House had his name embroidered all over it, triggering a debate in the social media.
