BJP gets into poll mode in U’khand

The BJP in Uttarakhand has switched on its election mode by carrying ‘Pardafash (expose) rally’ targeting mainly Congress’ pet constituencies. By picking up four former chief ministers- BC Khanduri, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Vijay Bahuguna and Ramesh Pokhriyal and former Congress heavyweights Satpal Maharaj and Harak Singh Rawat- BJP wants to lead the election engineering for fast approaching assembly elections.

Former cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat while addressing  the rally at Dharchula said, “Harish Rawat and his close associates have accumulated huge wealth by unscrupulous means and infamous sting operation has marred the pious image of Devbhoomi. Rawat and his close confidante Harish Dhami are propagating back-door recruitment in forest department and corporation. The ruling party has shown its fear by imposing Section 144 in Pithoragarh.”

Former union minister Satpal Maharaj said while addressing rally at Karnaprayag, “CM Rawat is shamelessly giving lucrative department to dissident party MLAs in a bid to come to the party fold when they were in exile. What will happen to the state if the power head turns his blind eye to the wrong-doings?
