BJP appoints SP Singh Baghel as OBC Morcha national president

Considering caste factor in the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, BJP has appointed SP Singh Baghel, as national president of the OBC Morcha.

BJP president Amit Shah on Saturday has appointed Baghel as the national head while former MP Dr Sudha Yadav has been appointed as in-charge of the Morcha. Prof Baghel is a senior leader of Uttar Pradesh and was also <g data-gr-id="13">member</g> of Lok Sabha for three terms and Rajya Sabha for once.

He is a mass leader of Pal Baghel society while Dr. Sudha Yadav is a former MP from Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency, Haryana and national secretary of the BJP at present. Brought in politics by Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav, Baghel was elected MP from <g data-gr-id="15">Jalesar</g> thrice. Later on, he had joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). He came to the BJP a year before Lok Sabha elections.
