Bizman, aide held for carrying new 2k notes worth rs 27 lakh

A 41-year-old businessman dealing in retail of medicines along with a servant of an owner of pharmaceutical company has been arrested by Delhi Police Crime Branch in a joint operation with the Income Tax department and the intelligence agency with Rs 27 lakh in new currency (Rs 2,000 notes) from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway station, police said on Thursday. 

During interrogation it was learnt that till date more than 1.5 crore new currency notes have been brought from Mumbai by the aides of Sanjay Malik, who yet to be arrested. Ajit Pal (arrested), a resident of Pitampura is also a business partner of Malik. Pal took the cash in new currency from Mumbai allegedly with help of some bank officials in Mumbai. 

Pal was accompanied with Rajender Sharma (51), servant of Malik. All are residents of Pitampura. Senior officials claimed that well oiled machines of agents and sub-agents dealing in new currency and gold is being run. Further investigation is being conducted by the IT department, police said adding that simultaneously the Crime Branch officials are also working on the case.
