The government's expert panel, headed by former SEBI chief M Damodaran, for preparing a roadmap to improve the overall business climate in the country is expected to hold its first meeting on 10 October. The 21-member committee, set up by the corporate affairs ministry, has representatives from the government, regulatory authorities besides industry leaders like Anand Mahindra and Kumar Mangalam Birla.
Corporate affairs minister Veerappa Moily on Wednesday said the panel is expected to meet on 10 October. The committee would suggest a roadmap to improve the environment for doing business in India and its report is likely within six months, he added.  Â
