Bike-borne miscreants snatch Rs 30 lakh from dairy cashier

Six bike-borne robbers looted Rs 30 lakh cash from a cashier of a dairy, who was going to deposit the amount in a bank in <g data-gr-id="16">North-east</g> Delhi’s Mansarovar Park area.

Milan (22) was heading towards Punjab National Bank to deposit the money with a suitcase containing Rs 30 lakh cash on Wednesday afternoon, said police. Six bike-borne robbers, who were trailing him from some distance, snatched the bag from him and sped off on their bikes, said police.

“The person was going to the bank to deposit the cash when 5-6 people came from behind and snatched his suitcase. We are investigating the case,’’ said, R S Sagar, Additional DCP (North-east)
Police also said that the robbers fled towards the UP border.

It was also reported that the incident was caught on a CCTV camera of a nearby gym. Police are hoping to gather crucial information from the footage captured by the camera and use it to nab the culprits, said an officer. 

According to police, the incident took place so fast that no one present there could understand that a robbery was being conducted. Only when Milan started shouting, people realised that he was looted.
