Yamuna Expressway pile-up leaves 16 hurt
Greater Noida: Dense smog on Monday caused a pile-up on Yamuna Expressway near Jewar toll plaza when four vehicles rammed into each other due to low visibility. At least 16 people were injured in the incident from which 12 persons were rushed to hospital in a serious condition, said police.
According to police, the incident took place early on Monday morning when a roadways bus collided into a stationary truck, two cars which were close behind also rammed each other. Police said that the vehicles were on their way to Delhi. As the information was conveyed, police team from Jewar police station area was rushed to the spot and the victims were taken to Kailash hospital for treatment.
"The incident which involves pile-up of four vehicles took place early Monday morning near Jewar toll plaza. Over a dozen people have sustained injuries in the accident out of which four got first aid and sent to home."
