Varnika Kundu stalking case: Vikas Barala gets bail
New Delhi: The Punjab and Haryana High Courts have granted bail on Thursday to Vikas Barala who was the accused in Varnika Kundu stalking case.
His petition was dismissed four times by a trial court.
Barala was arrested for allegedly stalking Chandigarh- based DJ Varnika Kundu.
Vikas Barala and his friend Ashish Kumar are facing trial on charges of stalking and attempt to abduct DJ Kundu in Chandigarh on the night of August 4 and 5, 2017.
Vikas Barala is the son of Haryana BJP President Subhash Barala.
The incident of stalking came into prominence when the 29-year-old Varnika called up the police and lodged a complaint against the two men followed her in their SUV when she was driving from Sector 8 market in Chandigarh towards Panchkula.
