Car hits crowd near London museum, many injured

London: A car mounted the pavement and ploughed into pedestrians near the Natural History Museum in London on Saturday, the police said.
The Metropolitan Police said a "number" of people had been injured and one person was arrested following the incident on Exhibition Road in South Kensington, a British media house reported.
People on social media reported that several people were receiving medical treatment on the street outside the museum in west London.
Police described the incident in the South Kensington area of west London as a collision and said the motive for the incident was under investigation.
A man has been detained by police."
Police closed the roads in the surrounding area.
