Now, ED summons to DK Shivakumar wife, mother

New Delhi: With trouble mounting for DK Shivakumar's family, the Enforcement Directorate has summoned the senior Karnataka Congress leader's wife Usha Shivakumar and mother Gowramma in connection with the money-laundering probe against him.

The Millennium Post has learnt that the financial probe agency has asked both Usha and Shivakumar's mother to appear before agency officials at the headquarters on October 17, where they are expected to be asked about several companies that are purportedly involved in the alleged case of money-laundering.

The ED has from day one focused on family members of Shivakumar, who might have knowledge of companies alleged to be linked to the Congress troubleshooter.

Earlier, the agency had questioned Shivakumar's brother and Bengaluru Rural MP, DK Suresh in connection with the case for several hours at the agency headquarters in Delhi, when speaking to reporters outside the ED offices he maintained that he had not committed any crime.

Agency officials had also questioned Shivakumar's 23-year-old daughter Aishwarya in Delhi for over eight hours, where according to sources, she was asked about a Trust company set up in her name, suspected to be linked to the case.
