Audi-auto collision ends four lives, 'dreams' to marry, work in a big city

Four persons have been reportedly killed after an over-speeding and recklessly driven Audi rammed into an auto-rickshaw on late Friday night. The accident took place in Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad killing all four people in the auto-rickshaw including the driver. However, two others who were inside the car sustained minor injuries as they were saved by their airbags.

"The incident took place at around 12.30 am on the Canal Road near Gaur Green Avenue, Indirapuram. The Audi which was moving from Delhi to Ghaziabad rammed into the auto coming from the opposite direction killing all the four occupants of the vehicle including the driver," said Anil Yadav, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ghaziabad.

According to an eyewitness, there were two persons present in the Audi who suffered minor injuries. Both of them fled the spot taking a lift from another car passing by.

The deceased have been identified as Rinku Yadav (38) who was a software engineer in Noida. Apart from Rinku, her family friends Yajuvendra Singh (40), his cousin Vishal Singh (25) and the auto driver Sanjeev (25) were also killed. Except the auto driver, who hails from Etah, Uttar Pradesh, all the three other victims hail from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Vishal had been engaged to a woman from Unnao recently. He had come to Ghaziabad in search of a job and was accompanied by Yajuvendra and Rinku, who had arranged the interview, when the accident happened, his
relatives said.

"It is suspected that the driver of the Audi was drunk as we found a water bottle and an open packet of potato chips from the car. According to the documents we found from the car, the car is registered in the name of one Dr Manish Rawat, a Delhi-based neurosurgeon in Safdarjung hospital.

Rawat lives in Sarita Vihar and we are trying to find out whether he was present in the car at the time of the accident on not. An FIR has been registered in Indirapuram police station under Sections 307, 279 and 427 of the IPC," added Yadav.
