Mamata arrives in Delhi, to attend Kovind oath-taking

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will attend the oath-taking ceremony of the President-elect Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday at the Central Hall of Parliament.
Banerjee flew down to the national capital on Monday evening and her presence assumes political significance as she has hit out at the Centre on numerous occasions, especially on GST and the recent instances of cow vigilantism.
Her party Trinamool Congress (TMC) also backed the Opposition Presidential nominee Meira Kumar. Banerjee was prompt enough to congratulate Kovind after the result came out on July, 20.
The former Parliamentarian is also likely to meet other senior opposition party leaders and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh over the ongoing Darjeeling unrest during her three-day visit to New Delhi. The Bengal chief minister is expected to fly back to Kolkata on Thursday.
Apart from Banerjee, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will also attend the ceremony.
