Coronavirus India News LIVE Updates: Crediting measures such as isolation and nationwide lockdown, Health Ministry's Joint secretary Lav Agarwal said India took 12 days to reach 1,000 coronavirus cases and that numbers were much higher in developed nations at the same time. In a media briefing, the Union Health Ministry Monday confirmed that 92 new cases and four deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in last 24 hours. The number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rose to 1071 on Sunday while the death toll now stands at 30.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases across the world surpassed seven lakh, with over 1,30,000 cases in the United States. And the worst affected state in the US is New York, which has over 1,000 deaths. US President Donald Trump said the death rate in the country would likely peak in another two weeks. So far the over death toll is 2,460 from the respiratory disease, according to a Reuters tally.
