HP school bus rolls into gorge… 6 kids, driver dead
Shimla: Yet another bus accident claimed the lives of six school children and the driver and injured 12 students in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. The 26-seat private bus, which belonged to DAV School, Renuka, had rolled down into a deep gorge in Sangrah area of Sirmaur district in the morning.
While Samir (5), Adarsh (7), Kartik (14) and driver Ram Swaroop (40) died on the spot, Abhishek, his sister Sanjana and Naitik Chauhan succumbed to their injuries at Nahan Medical College, informed Sirmaur SP Rohit Malpani. The 12 injured children have been hospitalised, with some being in critical condition. Ten of the 12 injured students are Sandhaya, Rakshita, Anjali, Rajiv, Aayush, Vaishanvi, Dhruv, Mannat, Aarushi and Sunder Singh. In April 2018, 27 school children died in a accident at Nurpur, Kangra district.
