England vs New Zealand, World Cup 2019 Final LIVE Score Updates: England bowlers followed perfect lines as they restricted New Zealand to a fighting 241/8 in the ICC World Cup 2019 finals at Lord's. Liam Plunkett caused the maximum damage to the New Zealand batting line up taking crucial wickets at the right time to finish with 3/42 in 10 overs. Henry Nicholls top-scored for New Zealand making 55 off 77 balls while Tom Latham added valuable 47 off 56 balls.

After New Zealand opted to bat, Chris Woakes gave England first breakthrough by getting Martin Guptill plumbed out early. Woakes struck in the seventh over to remove Guptill (19) when the score was just 29. Kane Williamson and Nicholls then guided New Zealand past 100-run mark before falling to Plunkett dented Kiwis run flow with twin strikes. Plunkett first got rid of Williamson and then sent back Nicholls after he reached his half-century. Ross Taylor (15), who has been impressive in the tournament, couldn't rescue the side and got plumbed out by Mark Wood in the 34th over when the score was 141. Plunkett struck again in the 39th over to end James Neesham's challenge. Latham held his nerves in death overs and guided New Zealand to a respectable total.
