COVID-19 cases rise to 107

Coronavirus outbreak Live Updates: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday said that the total number of positive cases of the novel coronavirus disease increased to 107, after 32 fresh cases were reported from Maharashtra. The deadly virus has claimed two lives so far. A total of 10 persons who tested positive, including three from Kerala, five from Uttar Pradesh and one each from Rajasthan and Delhi, have recovered and been discharged.

Meanwhile, a Dubai-bound Emirates flight from Kochi carrying 286 passengers was grounded before take-off and all the passengers were offloaded after one person tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease on Sunday, Kochi airport officials. The passenger, officials said, was a UK tourist who had boarded the flight after he slipped out of quarantine from a hotel in Munnar.

Tthe 218 Indians, including 211 students, who were evacuated from Italy's Milan early on Sunday landed in Delhi. Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan tweeted, "218 Indians including 211 students from Milan landed in Delhi. All will be quarantined for 14 days. GoI is committed to reach out to Indians in distress, wherever they are!Appreciate Govt. of Italy for their support and team @IndiainItaly." As many as 236 Indians, who were stranded in virus-hit Iran, arrived early on Sunday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar tweeted.
