Centre allows movement of stranded migrant labourers within state in buses

Coronavirus India LIVE Updates: With India entering 26th day of the lockdown, the Ministry of Home Affairs allowed the movement of stranded migrant labourers within a state in buses. However, it prohibited the inter-state movement of migrant labourers from where they are currently located.

The number of cases in India crossed the 15,000-mark on Sunday to stand at 15,712, including 507 deaths and 2,230 recoveries. Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state in the country. Globally, the number of infections rose to 2.3 million and 1.6 lakh deaths.

In Delhi, a 1.5-month-old baby succumbed to the infection, while six healthcare staff tested positive. Fresh cases were also reported from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka. Meanwhile, the government banned the service of non-essential items by e-commerce companies, during the ongoing lockdown, four days after allowing such firms to sell mobile phones, refrigerators, and ready-made garments.
