BJP to mark 3 years in Govt with J&K mass contact programme

Amid the turbulence in the Kashmir valley, the BJP plans to mark three years of the BJP-NDA Government in two phases there. Top Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Dr Jitendra Singh and senior party leader Ram Madhav and BJYMC chief Poonam Mahajan will join the fortnight-long program.

While talking to a BJP leader of the state, Millennium Post learnt that the first phase of the anniversary program will be celebrated in five districts of the Kashmir valley, 10 districts of the Jammu region and two districts of Ladakh (Kargil and Leh).

However the state unit of the party mentioned that "We have kept the remaining five sensitive districts of the Kashmir valley for the second phase." It has also confirmed that there will be special programs for camps of Kashmiri Pundits in the Jammu region during the first phase.

While taking to the BJP MLA from Nawshera district, he said, "Already 100 youth BJP whole timers have started our reach bout program in different part of the state.

Meetings are being held in campuses of colleges and universities. They are interacting with locals to make them aware of government's schemes and Modiji's good governance." Even while talking to us, he mentioned that Kashmiris should know about the generosity of the Indian democracy. "We want to link the people of the state with Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. We also want Muslims to participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mission for development."

Meanwhile, the Yuva Morcha of the saffron party has also organised an Iftar party in the memory of Lt Umer Fayaz in Srinagar on May 30. Lt Fayaz was abducted and murdered by terrorists at Harmen (West of Behibagh) in the early of this month.
