BJP veterans LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and union minister Uma Bharti have been told to appear in Lucknow court on May 30 in case related to Babri mosque demolition in December 1992.
The court today said their was no exemption for them and they must appear before the court on the given date.
The conspiracy charge against Mr Advani, 89, and others was dropped by a special CBI Court in 2001, and upheld by the Allahabad High Court in 2010. But last month, the Supreme Court decided that the leaders would to face trial for the conspiracy charges as well. They are already facing trial for giving provocative speeches from a platform near the mosque before it was pulled down by karsevaks, or right-wing volunteers, on 6 December 1992.
The CBI special court in Lucknow was given a month to frame fresh charges, and two years to deliver its verdict in the 25-year-old demolition case
