Passengers stranded as Delhi metro faces technical difficulties

Services on the Yellow line of the Delhi Metro were severely affected due to a technical snag in south west Delhi's Green Park.

Services at several Metro Stations were not Available from 03:00 PM Onwards on Sunday.

Gayas Eapen,an affected commuter tweeted that the passenger were stranded at Qutub Minar as the metro service hit a technical snag. Meanwhile, trains plying on Yellow line heading towards HUDA City Center vacated, no information have been revealed by authorities yet.

According to the official, "Due to the technical problem in Overhead wiring (OHE wire) at platform number 2 towards Jahangir Puri metro movement halted at Chattarpur station. Moreover, Metro has been interchanged at Qutub minar for Jahangirpuri and Sultanpur for Huda City Center. At around 4.40 pm, both side metros moved to Sultanpur and only platform one has been used for both side movements, resultantly, a rush at platform level at some station."

Meanwhile, trains plying on Yellow line heading towards HUDA City Center vacated, no information have been revealed by authorities yet. Delhi Police didn't respond despite several attempts. The Metro services on all other Metro stations will run as per normal schedule.
