30 services added to doorstep delivery scheme: CM

New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that 30 more services have been added under the Doorstep Delivery of Public Services scheme. Under the scheme, 70 running services are being availed by the people since August, 2019. With the addition of 30 more services, the total number of services has gone up to 100 now.

The new services have been added to six different departments viz. Delhi Pharmacy Council, Delhi Transport Corporation, Labour Department, Women and Child Development, Transport Department, and Drugs Control Department.

The CM highlighted that there are three ways to get things done at the government offices in Delhi. First by visiting the government offices which has a success rate of 57 per cent. Secondly, by applying online where only 45 per cent of applications get cleared. The third is Doorstep Delivery with a success rate of 91 per cent.

"What makes Doorstep Delivery service a success is the fact that when people call about availing a particular service they are informed about the procedure and the list of documents required. So people are prepared with the proper paperwork and documents," Kejriwal added.
