Big brotherly attitude on N-deal, Obama security?

Since all the nuclear power plants in the country are run by the government-owned Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd, following international norms will mean the government would have to pay for the damages in case of an accident. Another contentious clause in the liability law was unlimited liability for which international companies will find it difficult to get insurers.
Asked about the differences between the two sides on the nuclear deal, MEA spokesperson, Syed Akbaruddin said, “Our negotiators are working together in a collaborative manner in London. This is the third time the Contact Group, which was set up by the Prime Minister and the US President, is meeting in last nearly 45 days. One can see the element of effort going in the discussion on the nuclear issue, which is an extremely important issue...”
Meanwhile,with advance teams working against deadlines to complete all arrangements ahead of the arrival of President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Saturday morning, Indian police and other security and intelligence teams have complained internally of being bullied by their American counterparts, with some of their demands crossing “all limits.” Sources said that the Secret Service agents Thursday mounted extra pressure on the Indian security agencies to submit them a final report over security arrangements in the capital by evening.
“We have shared our final security report with the Secret Service teams and the final discussion on the issue will be done tomorrow (Friday),” an official, on condition of anonymity, said. He said we have left no space for any security breach but the satisfaction level of the Secret Service team is “beyond the limits”.
“We respect all the delegation but they are treating us like we are for the first time welcoming the US president,” the official said. Highly placed sources said that around 25 Secret Service agents arrived in the capital Jan 13. They have had a series of meetings with Intelligence Bureau (IB) officials and Delhi Police personnel for the security arrangements for Obama’s visit, but their “overbearing” attitude is said to be upsetting junior police officials.
