Bhagwat, Modi meet to discuss post-poll alliance

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat had a crucial meeting with senior BJP leaders in the national capital to decide post-poll strategy on Saturday. 

BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and party president Rajnath Singh were present at the meeting. ‘The meeting focussed on our strategy for building alliances, if we fail to secure the magic figure. It was purely on forming the next government and our strategy on agreements with regional parties in forming a stronger NDA,’ a senior BJP leader said. Modi and Singh flew down to the national capital to attend the meeting. It was, however, unclear at the time of going to press whether party veteran Lal Krishna Advani was present in the meeting or not.
