Bengal believes in unity in diversity, says Mamata

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said that the state believes in unity in diversity and was against promoting violence.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Jagatdhatri Puja at Posta Bazaar in north Kolkata, she said, “Shedding blood is easy, but keeping peace is difficult.”

Banerjee claimed that she wanted to work for the people of Bengal and was fulfilling their dreams one by one.

She is also scheduled to visit Chandannager on the occasion of Jagatdhatri puja and wished people on the occasion of Chat Puja on Tuesday. 

The district police have taken necessary measures to maintain law and order on that day. The Chief Minister is scheduled to reach Chandernagar on November 17 in the afternoon, where she will spend two hours. She will then visit Babughat for Chhat Puja celebrations. The Chief Minister is slated to visit Arambagh on November 24 where she will inaugurate several new projects for the district.
