Being a role model is burdensome: Lawrence

‘I don’t think you make the decision to be a role model, I definitely didn’t,’ Lawrence said at the world premiere of her forthcoming movie The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in London, read a statement.
‘It’s something that just happens when you’re in the spotlight and you have all these people looking at you and listening to what you’re saying, so you have to decide - ‘What do I want the younger generation to hear?,’ added the 23-year-old who won Oscar for romantic comedy Silver Linings Playbook.
The actress believes Katniss, her character in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, is a ‘great role model’.
‘She is strong and she is not afraid to say what’s right even when it is scary,’ Lawrence said.
The movie, in the sci-fi space, is based on Suzanne Collin’s adventure series of the same name.
