BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi has fallen out of favour with the party top brass. Delhi BJP on Friday did not invite her to a meeting where party leaders took stock of the party’s humiliating defeat here at the hands of AAP.
At the two-hour meeting, senior BJP leaders reviewed the party’s performance in the polls with the majority of them saying they felt that bringing in the former IPS officer just three weeks before the elections backfired badly.
Playing down Bedi’s absence, a senior BJP leader said that only the party’s state office- bearers had been called for it and, since Bedi was not one, she had not been asked to attend.
