Bayern sign Dante for a four year deal

German record champions Bayern Munich have signed Borussia Monchengladbach defender Dante Bonfim Costa for four years, the club confirmed.

'Bayern Munich is one of the three or four biggest clubs in the world. At Bayern I have the chance to play at the highest level and to win titles. I'm now 28 years old thus I would like to take this step in my career,' Dante was quoted as saying by Xinhua.

The Brazilian defender joined Monchengladbach in 2009 and has scored eight goals in 91 matches.

'We are pleased that Dante comes to Bayern. He is a very good and high profile footballer, who will support us to reach our objectives in the next four years,' Bayern sports director Christian Nerlinger said.

The Bavarians reinforce their team following a year without Bundesliga title. However, they still have the chance to win the Champions League title with the final on home soil against Chelsea at Allianz Arena on 19th May.
