It is a known fact that 13 Mall Avenue bungalow is allotted to Mayawati as former chief minister and during previous years out of power, she used to live there.

The renovation work in this bungalow started in 2007 after she came to power and work continued five years and was completed toward the end of regime.

Similarly several hundreds of crores were spent by Estate department in renovation of houses of several ministers and key bureaucrats who were running the government during Mayawati regime.

Although BSP spokesman Satish Mishra MP said that release of information about expenditure from state exchequer on renovation of Mayawati’s bungalow was not based on truth.

Satish Mishra said that although the bungalow in question had been allotted to Mayawati as former chief minister but it was converted to memorial in the name of Manyawar Kanshiram founder of BSP and Mayawati was living in separate part of it.

But the question remains as to how could somebody that too former chief minister could live in a memorial.

The work was shown in papers and money was also shown to have been spent.

Shivpal Yadav said the project was to construct canals from Bansagar dam to Allahabad and then to Mirjapur and a huge amount of Rs 1290 crores had also been spent during last five years. Shivpal said the ground reality was that only half of the work was done and rest of money had been swindled by the officials.

CBI is already working on the Rs 7000 crores NRHM scam during the regime of Mayawati and her close lieutenant and then the minister Babu Singh Kushwaha and senior IAS official Pradeep Shukla have also been arrested for their alleged involvement.
